Singapore Tourism | A travel guide curated by emotions

How can you know what travellers are really feeling about Singapore?

We partnered with neuroscientists from UNSW and Sydney University, using wireless EEG technology, to reveal what travellers were feeling as they holidayed in the city.

Five families wore EEG headsets as they discovered Singapore’s picturesque multicultural neighbourhoods, popular hawker food scene, serene ‘City in a Garden’ attractions and engaging theme parks.

The brain’s electrical activity was mapped to common emotions – ‘engagement’, ‘stress’, ‘interest’, ‘excitement’ and ‘relaxation’ – giving us real-time insights.

The result was a first-of-its-kind Singapore travel guide curated by emotions. An interactive Singapore map was created to help future travellers to plan their dream holiday based on their needs, ages and interests.
